Description

This early double tulip comes in that sought after dark plum colour that appears almost black, adding not just an air of mystery to your planting, but also a potentially fabulous colour contrast to other brighter blooms. And when the rays of spring sunshine light up the beautifully layered petals of Tulip 'Mystery Dream', they appear to shimmer, making this a real stand out tulip.
As a peony-type tulip, Tulip 'Mystery Dream' has the impact of a full, dense double flower, and stands sturdy at a good height of up to 50 cm. This makes it an excellent tulip for both planting out in the flower border or for use as a cut flower. A large pot planted up with the statuesque blooms of Tulip 'Mystery Dream' would look stunning, perhaps combined with orange toned tulips for a rich tapestry effect, or soft pink or white coloured varieties for a bold and dramatic contrast.
