Description
Armeria maritima 'Alba' is the elegant white counterpart to the ever-popular thrift, offering a soft and serene addition to your garden. With its compact growth habit, reaching up to 20cm in height, this charming perennial forms tidy clumps of needle-like dark green foliage that remains evergreen throughout the year. Above the foliage, you’ll find clusters of pure white flowerheads that create a neat and delicate display. Armeria maritima 'Alba' is perfect for brightening up borders, rockeries, or coastal gardens, where its clean, crisp blooms provide a subtle yet striking contrast against surrounding plants.
What sets Armeria maritima 'Alba' apart is its ability to thrive in tough conditions. This hardy perennial flourishes in well-drained soil and full sun, making it a great choice for dry, sunny spots where other plants may struggle. Whether you're looking to create a low-maintenance, peaceful corner or fill in gaps between other perennials, Armeria maritima 'Alba' provides long-lasting beauty with minimal fuss. Its white blooms emerge in late spring and continue into early summer, and its evergreen nature ensures your garden will stay vibrant and neat all year round. For a fresh, classic look with a bit of toughness, Armeria maritima 'Alba' is the perfect choice.
Our Armeria maritima 'Alba' plants are supplied as a root ball with healthy growth, ensuring a strong start. They are carefully shipped in our unique cardboard box, designed to keep them safe and in top condition. This ensures they arrive healthy and ready to thrive in their new home.

Useful information
-
Soak your Armeria maritima 'Alba' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting.
Plant your "White thrift" bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost in spring and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors.
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed.
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
