It is certainly a tulip, an unusual and rare one, but with an appearance similar to an artichoke at first, plus lots of fascinating unravelling layers like an ornamental cabbage to follow. Tulip 'Royal Tower' is a feature for quite a long time as it slowly forms into the final masterpiece. A seemingly impossible number of petals keep on coming, first green and then soft pink, eventually forming an impressive stack. This makes the flower unusually tall, like turrets on a fairytale palace!
If you’re into high-impact plants, growing extraordinary cut flowers or fascinated by curiosities, plant some terrific Tulip 'Royal Tower' bulbs in autumn and wait for spring to watch and be amazed! We recommend planting a group of them into pots, or in groups in a border.
