Description
Light up the late season with this vibrant, variegated number, Sedum 'Lajos', also known as Sedum 'Autumn Charm'. The sage-coloured leaves have a gorgeous gold trim which makes this Stonecrop particularly eye catching. Enjoy the chunky, colourful foliage through the season, then wait for the crescendo of creamy-pink flowers which bursts into action in August, lasting through to autumn. Drought and heat tolerant Sedum 'Lajos' is an extremely resilient perennial and effortlessly maintains its good looks in sun-baked borders, returning every year to bring colour, texture and pollinators to your patch.
Use Hylotelephium 'Lajos' as a foliage plant too—those lovely leaves appear in spring and gradually grow taller as the season progresses. Once this hardy perennial is established it will form a dense, bushy clump of foliage which looks great next to other sun-loving border perennials, like Salvia, Nepeta and ornamental grasses. Stonecrop is a succulent plant—once it’s settled it rarely needs watering which is useful in dry gardens or a good choice for water-conscious gardeners.
