Description

For a blast of big, bold glamour, you can’t get better than Gladiolus 'Aviol'! From mid to late summer this striking variety produces sturdy spikes of large, showy, white flowers with a contrasting purple centre. Use repeated plantings of Gladiolus 'Aviol' as vertical accents punctuating other summer-flowering planting, or as a singular, showstopping focal point in a mixed container display. Gladiolus also makes a fabulous cut flower, so be sure to plant plenty of spares for the vase!

To get the most out of your Gladiolus 'Aviol', we recommend several staggered plantings throughout April and May to extend your bloom season significantly. Plant the corms at three times their depth, and make sure you choose as sunny and well-draining a spot as possible. Whether picking or deadheading, try to make sure you leave the foliage behind. This is essential for putting energy back into the corms for successful growth the following year.
