Description
Cortaderia 'Rosea', or pink pampas grass, is a garden showstopper that combines elegance with drama. This tufted perennial grass can soar up to an impressive 2.5m, creating a stunning focal point with its evergreen leaves. The real star of the show, however, is the long, plume-like panicles of soft pink spikelets that emerge in late summer and autumn. Cortaderia 'Rosea' brings a dash of sophistication, with its graceful, feathery pink blooms swaying in the breeze, adding both texture and colour to your garden landscape. Perfect for borders, large beds, or as a dramatic specimen plant, it commands attention without being overbearing.
What makes Cortaderia selloana 'Rosea' particularly delightful is its ease of care. Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, this hardy perennial is perfect for dry, sunny spots where many other plants may struggle. Despite its tall stature, pink pampas grass is surprisingly low-maintenance, requiring just an annual trim in early spring to keep it looking neat and tidy. Whether you're looking to add structure to a modern garden or a touch of elegance to a more naturalistic design, Cortaderia 'Rosea' is sure to elevate your garden with its stunning beauty and minimal fuss.
Our Cortaderia 'Rosea' plants are supplied as a root ball with healthy growth, ensuring a strong start. They are carefully shipped in our unique cardboard box, designed to keep them safe and in top condition. This ensures they arrive healthy and ready to thrive in their new home.

Useful information
-
Soak your Cortaderia 'Rosea' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting.
Plant your "Pink pampas grass" bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost in spring and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors.
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed.
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
