Description
Introducing a veritable vision of colour—this mix of wonderful peony cultivars will transform your late spring and early summer garden. A perfect blend of pinks, mauves, reds and white, this is a captivating combination, and a feast for the eyes. Each 'Colourburst' Peony collection contains:
— 1 x Peony 'Sarah Bernhardt'
— 1 x Peony 'Shirley Temple'
— 1 x Peony 'Red Sarah Bernhardt'
— 1 x Peony 'Purple Spider'
Peony 'Sarah Bernhardt' produces huge, pale pink and puffy clusters of petals, to form a soft ball of colour! Arguably the most dramatic of the four varieties in this collection,
Peony 'Shirley Temple' is a totally charming double flower—bright white that takes on pink tinges as the sun gently strokes its petals. Golden yellow stamens in the centre of the flower enhance the look. Oh, and she also has a delicate fragrance, too!
Peony 'Red Sarah Bernhardt' is, simply, a red version of 'Sarah'! Growing to around 90cm in height, it produces masses of lightly scented, double flowers. Some 15-20cm across, they comprise dark, pinkish-purple petals, tinged with red.
Peony 'Purple Spider' carries large, long-lasting flowers, in shades of rich, intense purple-pink. The ruffled double blooms will bring life and high-impact colour to any planting space—and with hardly any fuss at all!
These peonies really do pack a punch in the border and, once established, will keep coming back, year after year. What's more, these cut-flower classics each have an outstanding vase life too, opening slowly from tight, rounded buds to reveal amazing blooms.

Useful information
-
Soak the Peony collection 'Colourburst' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting
Plant your bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost in spring and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed. Some varieties are a length of root which should be planted lengthways and shallowly (1-2cm deep).
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
