Description
It is said that you will get into trouble if you open Pandora’s Box, but Ligularia 'Pandora'—a recently introduced new cultivar—will give you nothing but pleasure! Producing a tall-stemmed canopy of orange-yellow daisy-like flowers, rising high above an impressive layered mound of massive, shiny, rounded purple leaves, this plant will delight all who come to your garden. A shady position is best for it, in moist, fertile soil; it is ideal in shady, moist borders, or a bog garden. It is a hugely impressive plant when growing alongside water, and looks particularly good as a clump of three or more plants. Mixed containers and rock gardens, too, will make good homes for Ligularia dentata 'Pandora'—truly a versatile plant!
Ligularia 'Pandora' (commonly known as Leopard plant) starts to pay for its keep each year, from the moment the leaves emerge in March, to the time the plant fades each November. It then re-emerges three months later.

Useful information
-
Soak your Ligularia 'Pandora' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting.
Plant your "Leopard plant" bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost in spring and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors.
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed.
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
