Description
Glamorous flowers formed of deep magenta standards and copper-brown tinged falls make Dutch Iris ‘Red Ember’ a truly fabulous variety to grow. Not only does is flounce a fashionable and beautiful appearance in the garden, but it’s easy and reliable to grow too, flowering effortlessly every year from late spring through to early summer in sun or shade. And there’s yet more virtues! If all that wasn’t reason enough to want this striking Dutch Iris, you’ll also find it’s a long-lasting beauty in a vase too!
With warm, rusty tones, Dutch Iris ‘Red Ember’ fits in wonderfully within a warm-colour planting scheme, but it’s also subtle enough to provide a contrast when combined with flowers, particularly blue, yellow or pink. They also look fantastic with soft ornamental grasses, providing that much sought-after Chelsea look during May and June!
