Description
Geranium 'Wargrave Pink' is a charming cranesbill with soft rose-pink flowers and a wonderfully easy manner, the sort of perennial that makes a border feel settled without trying to take over the neighbourhood. Reaching around 40cm high, it forms a relaxed, leafy mound that slips beautifully between roses, shrubs and summer perennials. Unlike some more enthusiastic geraniums, Geranium 'Wargrave Pink' is well behaved, neither rampaging about nor seeding itself with alarming confidence. Its pretty pink blooms bring a gentle brightness through early summer, with a freshness that suits cottage gardens, informal borders and those awkward gaps that always appear just when guests are due.
For best results, plant Geranium 'Wargrave Pink' in sun or partial shade, in ordinary, well-drained garden soil, where it can soften edges and knit planting together with very little fuss. After the first flowering, cut the plant right back before midsummer and it will often reward you with a second flush, which feels pleasingly like getting an encore without buying another ticket. Geranium 'Wargrave Pink' pairs beautifully with lavender, catmint, salvias, alchemilla and pale roses, creating a soft, long-lasting summer tapestry. Hardy, dependable and quietly decorative, Geranium 'Wargrave Pink' is an excellent choice for gardeners who like generous flowering, good manners and plants that know when to stop.

Useful information
-
Soak the Geranium 'Wargrave Pink' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting
Plant your "Cranesbill" bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost within a week of delivery and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed. Some varieties are a length of root which should be planted lengthways and shallowly (1-2cm deep).
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
