Description
Delphinium 'Samba' takes its name to heart, bursting into bloom with the kind of lively flair you’d expect from a midsummer carnival. Standing tall on strong, upright stems, this larkspur produces dense spires packed with fully double white flowers, each delicately touched with a soft yellow centre. The contrast is subtle yet striking, lending a bright, uplifting feel to borders just when the garden craves a touch of freshness. Against its mound of green, finely cut foliage, the blossoms of Delphinium 'Samba' rise like elegant dancers, swaying gently in the breeze and demanding the limelight without ever seeming overdone.
What makes Delphinium 'Samba' so irresistible is its ability to bring balance as well as beauty. The crisp white petals illuminate shadier corners and add definition among richer colours, while the hint of yellow at the heart keeps things from feeling too stark. Plant larkspur 'Samba' in groups for a bold vertical accent, or weave it through a mixed border for moments of light and lift among deeper hues. Indoors, a stem or two in a tall vase captures that same sense of poise and celebration. With Delphinium 'Samba' gracing your summer planting, the whole garden gains a rhythm—bright, graceful, and impossible to ignore.

Useful information
-
Soak your Delphinium 'Samba' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting.
Plant your "Larkspur" bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost in spring and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors.
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed.
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
