Description
Aptly named for the golden ball at the top of a king’s staff of sovereignty, the Dahlia 'Golden Sceptre' is a totally round bundle of scooped yellow petals that group together in a honeycomb design. The bright yellow gives way to a deeper gold at the centre of this pompon dahlia’s flower. Held aloft on sturdy stems, the balls will bounce around in the breeze but are likely to survive the average summer wind. As they move, they will be even more evocative of the ball at the top of the ornamental sceptre, which moves as the king does during ceremonial occasions.
Let a mass of the small but cheerful Dahlia 'Golden Sceptre' blooms appear on the less than a metre tall bush!
