Description
Bring the buzz into your borders or patio containers with bee-magnet Agastache 'Beelicious Pink', also known as the Mexican giant hyssop. This cottage garden classic will attract pollinators from far and wide, all bee-lining excitedly to collect its bountiful pollen and nectar from scores of fluffy-looking pink flower spikes. Each captivating pink wand is surrounded by whorls of small, pink, tubular flowers, and it’s not just the pollinators that will be wowed by this magnificent pink beauty – you’ll adore Agastache 'Beelicious Pink' just as much.
Preferring a free-draining soil and a sunny spot, Agastache 'Beelicious Pink' will be adorned with mid-green foliage from spring until autumn. In summer the show starts when this hardy perennial produces a succession of spicy-fragranced, pink flower spikes from July to September. This resilient, clump-forming plant will establish over time and produce a better show every year as the clump gradually grows. At maturity, this Agastache reaches approximately 80cm in height. Give your Agastache rugosa 'Beelicious Pink' bare roots an easy start in temporary pots and grow them on for a while before planting into the garden. Once settled in, this beautiful perennial will go from strength to strength, providing a stunning focal point each year.
Traditionally, Agastache was utilized for its medicinal qualities, thanks to its essential oils that would hold antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and digestive attributes.
