Description
Here’s a plant which will take your garden back a few million years—it’s huge and lush, leafy and prehistoric-looking Hosta 'Jurassic Park'. Forming a rosette of paddle-sized leaves and growing up to 1.2m tall and wide, this is a beast of a hosta which will fill a fair-sized gap in a shady border with very little fuss. Alternatively, raise this giant monumental hosta up off the ground by giving it a space in a planter or large container of its own. The slightly cloudy coating on those gorgeously ribbed leaves gives Hosta 'Jurassic Park' a pearlescent glow which helps to illuminate the space.
You can turn a shady corner of the garden into a tranquil space to relax in summer by including a good selection of lush plants like Hosta 'Jurassic Park'. Every year, this hardy hosta will grow back to bring you another long season of impressive, Jurassic-looking greenery. Plant Hosta 'Jurassic Park' with other plantain lilies to add variety, or even shade-loving flowering perennials like Astilbe to introduce colour to your leafy oasis. This perennial naturally dies back for winter dormancy, then grows back again the following spring.

Useful information
-
Soak your Hosta 'Jurassic Park' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting.
Plant your "Giant plantain lily" bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost in spring and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors.
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed.
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
