Description
With their flamenco frills, the large, showy, salmon, apricot-blush flowers of Gladiolus 'Blushed Look' pack quite the punch. Bold yet graceful, this variety suits a busy, cottage garden style border or a romantic, overflowing container display. We particularly love it in combination with purples—think Salvia, Phlox, and Verbena, with a swaying ornamental grass thrown in such as Pennisetum or Miscanthus. Dreamy!
Growing Gladiolus 'Blushed Look' is easy with just a few simple things to remember. Firstly, it’ll need a little help to get through winter—in the north this can mean lifting and dry storing the corms somewhere protected, in the south you can try leaving them in the ground with a thick mulch. Secondly, stagger your planting to a few corms every two weeks in April and May—this will extend your flowering season dramatically. Thirdly, make sure you choose a sunny, well-draining spot and keep your Gladiolus 'Blushed Look' watered during dry spells. Success shall be yours!
