Description
This plant is so fantastic that it might as well give itself a drumroll as its beater-like blooms emerge each summer. Hardy perennial Echinacea 'Drumstick Yellow' sets a steady rhythm for your garden as the flowers come and go with the seasons each year, in summer the buoyant ball-shaped flowers bob and sway, introducing a chilled-out movement to your planting scheme. Bees and butterflies are drawn to this nectar buffet, so there’s a real buzz of life about a display of these gorgeously dusky orange, fuzzy flowers.
Try Echinacea 'Drumstick Yellow' as a cut flower – they last well in a vase and have good long, stiff stems. This quirky variety would combine beautifully with flowers in shades of magenta pink and purple, both in the garden and in a bouquet. Growing to a medium height of around 60cm once established, it’s ideal for settling into a middle position in a border or a large patio container. Over time, this perennial forms a clump and each year as the clump grows, there will be more stems to enjoy. Echinacea purpurea 'Drumstick Yellow' is new and exciting and set to be a long-lasting staple in gardens of all styles, from cottage kitsch, to boho, prairie and contemporary!

Useful information
-
Soak your Echinacea 'Drumstick Yellow' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting.
Plant your "Coneflower" bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost in spring and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors.
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed.
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
