Description
Pretty Chionodoxa forbesii ‘Pink Giant’ creates a cushy carpet of early-spring colour that will lift your garden right out of the winter gloom. Growing to a height of around 25cm, it’s a bit bigger than your typical chionodoxa and every bit as dainty and sweet. The soft-pink starry flowers start to emerge right from the beginning of spring and continue to do so for many weeks, lighting up and dull space in their own classic and uncomplicated way. Chionodoxa is an excellent naturaliser, gradually multiplying over the years to produce wonderful swathes.
This easy-to-grow and unfussy bulb is perfect for planting in any garden—in borders, under trees or in pots. It’s got a hint of woodland charm about it and is often seen covering bare soil under large trees or among shrubs, but grows equally well through grass or in sunny borders. Plant Chionodoxa forbesii ‘Pink Giant’ in groups to get them started and enjoy watching these groups get bigger and more impressive every year!
