Plant tulip bulbs from October to mid-December, once the weather has cooled. Until then, store them somewhere cool, dry and safely away from mice and squirrels.
If summer is the queen of seasons, then spring is the princess. Give spring a royal welcome with regal red and white triumph tulips in bloom. This superbly contrasting combination is a sure-fire winner, and you needn’t worry that one colour will bloom before the other. Instead, the blooms will open together, giving you the magnificent contrast you’re looking for. As the red comes marching in like the Royal guard in full dress uniform, so the pure whites will be adding their subtle beauty to the show. At Farmer Gracy, we’re proud of our years of bulb growing experience, and always ready to share tips and fabulous flowering combinations such as this.
We always use the best quality bulbs for this collection which means that the varieties we choose to create this look may differ from year to year. The varieties used in this collection may not be the same as the varieties pictured, and there will be a slight variation in colours.

Choose full sun or partial shade. Improve heavy soil with organic matter and horticultural grit. For containers, use peat-free multipurpose compost with good drainage.
Plant bulbs pointed side upwards, 15–20cm deep and around 10cm apart. You can leave a little more space between them in borders.
Water once after planting to settle the soil. Border-grown tulips rarely need further watering, but containers should be kept lightly moist and never waterlogged.
Remove faded flowers, then allow the foliage to yellow and die back naturally. This helps the bulbs store energy for the following year.
