Plant tulip bulbs from October to mid-December, once the weather has cooled. Until then, store them somewhere cool, dry and safely away from mice and squirrels.
'Yellow Danceline'
A veritable bowel of sunshine, Tulip 'Yellow Danceline' will have you dancing with delight! A generously full double tulip, it resembles an over-sized buttercup, with its luminescent yellow petals, flecked in a delightful contrast with raspberry red at their tips. It will light up your garden, whether it’s raining or sunny outside. Flowering over a long period in late spring, adding Tulip 'Yellow Danceline' to your garden or patio is a great, easy way to add impact and bright, vivacious colour.
An exciting new variety, Tulip 'Yellow Danceline' supports its gorgeous and large peony-style blooms on thick and sturdy stems. Its striking colours would combine fabulously with other red or yellow late-flowering tulips in the peony group, or with its close cousin, the popular Tulip 'Danceline'. It is also a great stand-alone tulip. In pots and containers, Tulip 'Yellow Danceline' will shine out particularly well against a darker background, for example an evergreen hedge or a painted fence.

Choose full sun or partial shade. Improve heavy soil with organic matter and horticultural grit. For containers, use peat-free multipurpose compost with good drainage.
Plant bulbs pointed side upwards, 15–20cm deep and around 10cm apart. You can leave a little more space between them in borders.
Water once after planting to settle the soil. Border-grown tulips rarely need further watering, but containers should be kept lightly moist and never waterlogged.
Remove faded flowers, then allow the foliage to yellow and die back naturally. This helps the bulbs store energy for the following year.
