Description
Indulge your garden with dazzling golden swathes of beautiful lemon-scented tulip flowers during spring which will return for a repeat show year after year. Tulip sylvestris is the original wild tulip and therefore very reliable. Thriving in most conditions, whether planted in borders or containers, it will provide a beautifully uncomplicated display of colour between March and April with the minimum of fuss. Perfect for naturalising, once you’ve planted this simple but elegant variety in autumn, it’ll put on a fabulous show the following spring and then reward you by coming back each year afterwards in larger and more striking clumps.
This easy-to-grow and unfussy variety thrives in almost any sunny location. Tulip sylvestris is an excellent choice for growing in borders, rockeries and gravel gardens and can even cope with being planted in rough grass, sitting perfectly within a lovely wild or natural space. The refined flowers are simply chic with dainty pointed petals in a rich buttercup-yellow colour, sometimes with a nodding habit as well as upright for a graceful, informal variation.
