Plant tulip bulbs from October to mid-December, once the weather has cooled. Until then, store them somewhere cool, dry and safely away from mice and squirrels.
Spoil yourself at the pick-and-mix with these delightful candy-coloured single late flowering tulips, that are like a bowl full of sweets in the garden without the guilty calories! This harmonious tutti-frutti blend includes cherry, apricot, banana and watermelon shades, and a little cream dabbed with raspberry—just delicious! These single late tulips also have elegant form, with goblet-shaped blooms borne on strong, very tall stems that won’t be bowed down by the wind and rain.
Blooming in late spring, you can be assured that the tulip season will end on a high note by planting this single late tulip mix in a sunny spot where the colours will pop. Massed in a border, these blooms create an uplifting mood, and their height, up to 65cm tall, gives them superb presence. There are several award-winning varieties in this single late tulip blend, and some careful French breeding, aimed at creating tulips that not only look good in situ but make superb cut flowers.

Choose full sun or partial shade. Improve heavy soil with organic matter and horticultural grit. For containers, use peat-free multipurpose compost with good drainage.
Plant bulbs pointed side upwards, 15–20cm deep and around 10cm apart. You can leave a little more space between them in borders.
Water once after planting to settle the soil. Border-grown tulips rarely need further watering, but containers should be kept lightly moist and never waterlogged.
Remove faded flowers, then allow the foliage to yellow and die back naturally. This helps the bulbs store energy for the following year.
