Plant tulip bulbs from October to mid-December, once the weather has cooled. Until then, store them somewhere cool, dry and safely away from mice and squirrels.
'Roeska'
Tulip 'Roeska' is a study in quiet sophistication, its velvety petals unfolding in a deep, regal purple that seems to absorb and soften the spring light. As a member of the Triumph group, Tulip 'Roeska' carries that classic, gently tapered goblet shape which feels both timeless and reassuringly familiar. The colour holds beautifully as the bloom matures, offering a rich, saturated tone that pairs effortlessly with softer pastels or provides a striking counterpoint to brighter spring hues. Tulip 'Roeska' has a composed presence in the garden, never showy for the sake of it, yet impossible to overlook when planted in thoughtful drifts.
Equally appealing is the resilience of Tulip 'Roeska', with strong, upright stems that withstand the whims of early spring weather with admirable poise. This dependable structure also makes Tulip 'Roeska' a natural choice for cutting, where its elegant form and long-lasting blooms bring a touch of refinement indoors. Whether woven through a border or gathered into a simple vase, Tulip 'Roeska' proves its worth season after season. There is a certain calm confidence about Tulip 'Roeska', tulip that doesn’t demand attention, but earns it quietly and completely.

Choose full sun or partial shade. Improve heavy soil with organic matter and horticultural grit. For containers, use peat-free multipurpose compost with good drainage.
Plant bulbs pointed side upwards, 15–20cm deep and around 10cm apart. You can leave a little more space between them in borders.
Water once after planting to settle the soil. Border-grown tulips rarely need further watering, but containers should be kept lightly moist and never waterlogged.
Remove faded flowers, then allow the foliage to yellow and die back naturally. This helps the bulbs store energy for the following year.
