Description
Flaunt your flowers with pride next spring! With a dreamy combo of reliable and impressive darwin hybrid tulips in a beautiful blend of shades, it couldn’t be easier. Tulip collection 'Pride Mix' combines the top of the pink and purple pops with hints of coral thrown in for good measure. With equal plant heights and simultaneous flowering, it’s a ready-made mix of harmonious colours that will perk up your pots and beautify your borders, requiring the minimum of effort and planning. All you have to do is plant the bulbs in autumn and wait for a display to be proud of the following spring!
Tulip collection 'Pride Mix' contains a balanced mixture of:
- Tulip 'Apricot Pride' (former Tulip 'Zantubeau')
- Tulip 'Red Pride' (former Tulip 'Zantured')
- Tulip 'Purple Pride' (former Tulip 'Zantupur')
- Tulip 'Pink Pride' (former Tulip 'Zantupink')
Darwin hybrid tulips are known for returning over and over again for many years - they’re fairly reliable perennials when they’re happy in their spot. While most tulips start to fizzle out from the second year onwards, you can look forward to seeing these pretty tulips return in spring for a good number of years. They have strong, generous stems and last well in a vase too. Make sure you plant plenty because it’s hard to resist picking a bunch of these beauties!
The modern name Tulip is the latinized version of the Turkish word for turban, tülbend, which ultimately derives from the Persian word dulband, meaning ‘round’.
