Also, a multi-flowering habit—you don’t just get one flower, but up to five brilliant blooms per bulb! The flowers of Tulip 'Peggy Wonder' last longer than many other tulips and this is purely down to the volume of petals packed inside each bud. They take their time to unfurl into full bloom and look spectacular every step of the way.
Plant Tulip 'Peggy Wonder' bulbs in autumn and look forward to each one producing a perfectly-formed posy next spring. This prolific variety with multi-flowering abilities effortlessly pads out a space with pastel floral perfection, and because the spread is slightly wider than a single-stemmed tulip, you can use fewer bulbs or a slightly wider spacing to achieve a luxuriously dense display. The stems aren’t too long, and this stocky habit means they stay strong. Tulip 'Peggy Wonder' is a wonder-bloom on its own, but if you want to make your display even more jaw-droppingly gorgeous, try planting with Chionodoxa or Muscari bulbs weaved between them.

Choose full sun or partial shade. Improve heavy soil with organic matter and horticultural grit. For containers, use peat-free multipurpose compost with good drainage.
Plant bulbs pointed side upwards, 15–20cm deep and around 10cm apart. You can leave a little more space between them in borders.
Water once after planting to settle the soil. Border-grown tulips rarely need further watering, but containers should be kept lightly moist and never waterlogged.
Remove faded flowers, then allow the foliage to yellow and die back naturally. This helps the bulbs store energy for the following year.
