Plant tulip bulbs from October to mid-December, once the weather has cooled. Until then, store them somewhere cool, dry and safely away from mice and squirrels.
'Orange Passion'
Tulip 'Orange Passion' is a tulip that feels as though it has been lit from within, its warm blend of salmon, peach and glowing orange catching the light in a most flattering way. The delicately fringed petals of Tulip 'Orange Passion' are edged with fine, feathery tips that lend each bloom a soft, almost tactile allure. As the flowers open, subtle tonal shifts appear, giving Tulip 'Orange Passion' a lively, tropical character that stands out beautifully in spring borders. Held on sturdy stems reaching around 40cm, this variety brings both elegance and a gentle sense of exuberance, never brash, always refined.
In planting schemes, Tulip 'Orange Passion' pairs effortlessly with soft apricots, dusky pinks or even deeper, contrasting shades for a more dramatic effect. It is particularly effective when planted in generous drifts, where the fringed petals can create a shimmering, almost painterly display. Tulip 'Orange Passion' also makes an excellent cut flower, its unusual texture adding interest to arrangements indoors. Reliable and expressive, Tulip 'Orange Passion' offers something just a little different without straying into the eccentric, a thoughtful choice for gardeners who appreciate detail, colour harmony and a hint of the unexpected.

Choose full sun or partial shade. Improve heavy soil with organic matter and horticultural grit. For containers, use peat-free multipurpose compost with good drainage.
Plant bulbs pointed side upwards, 15–20cm deep and around 10cm apart. You can leave a little more space between them in borders.
Water once after planting to settle the soil. Border-grown tulips rarely need further watering, but containers should be kept lightly moist and never waterlogged.
Remove faded flowers, then allow the foliage to yellow and die back naturally. This helps the bulbs store energy for the following year.
