Description
Highly original, with a great sense of fun, Tulip 'New Santa' is a fabulous new fringed tulip that will get everyone talking! The blooms of this mid-season tulip have a delightful colour contrast of cheerful red with fresh white margins, but what really makes them pop are the deeply serrated fringed edges to the petals. These stand out as if a late frost has touched the tips of the flowers and left them crystalised in ice. Tulip 'New Santa' is one of the most striking crispa (or fringed) tulips available.
Blooming in mid spring, Tulip 'New Santa' has sturdy and resistant flowers, and short, strong stems up to 30cm high, meaning that you can easily enjoy them at the front of beds and borders, or perhaps along a path, where they will jostle happily for attention. Their slightly shorter stature also makes them perfect for pots. Tulip 'New Santa' is a new introduction in the tulip Division 7, known as the fringed group, and looks set to cause quite a stir!
