Plant tulip bulbs from October to mid-December, once the weather has cooled. Until then, store them somewhere cool, dry and safely away from mice and squirrels.
'Nemo'
With the theatrical flair of its namesake, Tulipa 'Nemo' makes a spirited entrance in the spring garden, its triumph form lending both poise and presence. Each bloom is elegantly shaped, with gently tapering petals washed in creamy ivory and boldly brushed with vivid crimson red, as though applied in confident strokes. There’s something delightfully painterly about Tulipa 'Nemo', its colour pattern never quite repeating, giving every flower a subtly unique character. Planted in drifts or woven through borders, Tulipa 'Nemo' brings a lively contrast that enlivens softer companions and pairs beautifully with fresh greens and gentle pastels.
True to its Triumph heritage, Tulipa 'Nemo' offers sturdy stems and reliable performance, holding its elegant blooms upright through spring’s shifting weather. As the flowers mature, the red markings seem to deepen and flicker across the petals, giving Tulipa 'Nemo' a quietly dynamic quality that rewards a closer look. It’s also a fine choice for cutting, where its refined shape and striking colouring can be appreciated indoors. For those seeking something classic yet artistically expressive, Tulipa 'Nemo' strikes a beautifully balanced note.

Choose full sun or partial shade. Improve heavy soil with organic matter and horticultural grit. For containers, use peat-free multipurpose compost with good drainage.
Plant bulbs pointed side upwards, 15–20cm deep and around 10cm apart. You can leave a little more space between them in borders.
Water once after planting to settle the soil. Border-grown tulips rarely need further watering, but containers should be kept lightly moist and never waterlogged.
Remove faded flowers, then allow the foliage to yellow and die back naturally. This helps the bulbs store energy for the following year.
