Tulip

'Helmar'

Luscious, plump-bodied Tulip blooms are one of the things that makes springtime special, and Tulip 'Helmar' epitomizes what we want to see from an early-spring tulip. After the chill and gloom of winter, Helmar tulips burst into a joyful blaze of primrose yellow with striking deep-red flames leaping along the length of each petal. Enjoy Tulip 'Helmar' on their own or combine them with single early tulips like Yokohoma. Either way, you’re in for a winning display of vibrant colour. Yes, there are other red-flamed tulips, but Helmar is a worthy choice thanks to its stately height and excellent bloom quality: highly recommended!

If you want to turn up the colour volume in your spring garden, this tulip will certainly hit the mark! This eye-catching variety combines two fiery shades in every petal – vibrant yellow and a flash of glowing red. Flowering on tall, strong stems, the blooms last for weeks in the garden, emerging from April and lasting well into May. Planting Tulip 'Helmar' in large groups or swathes running through the border will create a truly impressive display, and they’re equally as good in large patio pots too. Not only does this remarkable tulip add a real depth of colour to your garden, but their outstanding vase life makes them a fantastic cut flower too – just a few stems will be enough to inject a little sunshine into any room!
