Description
Although its flowers are the climax of the show you’ll get from China Town tulips, the foliage will add interest to your garden from the minute your bulbs begin to sprout. Featuring a broad silver-white edge against the blue green of the central part of the leaf, it’s foliage is as smart as pin-striped business suit, but once its flowers open, you’ll be in no doubt as to the sheer femininity of this award-winning plant.
The blooms of Tulip 'China Town' open palest pink with the feathered green markings characteristic of viridiflora tulips. Then magic happens, as the long-lasting flowers begin to darken to a deep blush pink. The flower-stems are relatively compact, but that only serves to highlight the unusual foliage, which acts as the ideal setting for the blooms. Simply irresistible!
