Plant tulip bulbs from October to mid-December, once the weather has cooled. Until then, store them somewhere cool, dry and safely away from mice and squirrels.

Tulip
'Angelique'
An adorable variety and the perfect choice for prolonging the tulip season, classic beauty Tulip 'Angelique' flowers late in the spring, gracing your garden with its showy double blooms from early May onwards. Angelically sweet in looks, this idyllic tulip creates a heavenly show with its opulent two-tone flowers and mouth-watering coconut ice colouring. Opening slowly for a long-lasting display, they’re a fresh feast for the eyes as the spring season makes way for summer.
This award-winning variety has long been a popular choice. And, flowering reliably in spring without fuss, making a successful display with them is a piece of cake. Plant Tulip 'Angelique' in groups in pots or borders to create a vibrant flash of pink, or combine them with blue, white or deep-purple flowers to make a perfectly balanced colour show. With good long stems, not only do they stand proudly in the garden but they make for ideal cutting material for a pretty bouquet too!

Choose full sun or partial shade. Improve heavy soil with organic matter and horticultural grit. For containers, use peat-free multipurpose compost with good drainage.
Plant bulbs pointed side upwards, 15–20cm deep and around 10cm apart. You can leave a little more space between them in borders.
Water once after planting to settle the soil. Border-grown tulips rarely need further watering, but containers should be kept lightly moist and never waterlogged.
Remove faded flowers, then allow the foliage to yellow and die back naturally. This helps the bulbs store energy for the following year.
