Description
Softly spilling rather than standing to attention, Rosmarinus 'Blue Cascade' brings a wonderfully relaxed shape to sunny spaces. This distinctive trailing rosemary grows to around 40cm high with a spread of about 60cm, sending out elegant, arching stems that tumble beautifully over low walls, raised beds and container edges. Its evergreen, needle-like grey-green leaves are highly aromatic, releasing that familiar rosemary fragrance with a subtle twist of citrus and pine when brushed. From May to June, Rosmarinus 'Blue Cascade' produces large violet-blue flowers, striking against the silvery foliage and much appreciated by early pollinators.
Ideal for patios, gravel gardens and Mediterranean-style planting, Rosmarinus 'Blue Cascade' offers structure with a softer, more fluid outline than upright forms. The weeping habit makes it especially effective in terracotta pots, where the stems can trail naturally and the flowers can be admired at close quarters. A warm, sheltered position in full sun and sharply drained soil will keep this rosemary happy, with occasional flowers often appearing again through summer and into autumn. Tough, fragrant and pleasingly architectural, Rosmarinus 'Blue Cascade' is both ornamental and useful, bringing year-round texture, aromatic foliage and a graceful cascade of colour to the garden.

Useful information
-
Soak your Rosmarinus 'Blue Cascade' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting.
Plant your "Rosemary" bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost in spring and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors.
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed.
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
