Plant daffodil bulbs from September to November. If needed, store them somewhere cool and dry, away from mice, but plant before they begin to deteriorate.
'Yazz'
daffodil
Narcissus 'Yazz' is a jonquilla daffodil that brings a bit of jazz to the spring garden—subtle, stylish, and with just the right amount of flair. Its pale yellow petals gradually mature to a soft creamy white, providing a delicate backdrop to the richly frilled cup that shifts in tone from apricot to yellow, all tied together with a fine orange rim. There’s movement in the colour and a lovely rhythm in the form—Narcissus 'Yazz' may be quiet, but it’s anything but dull.
This variety is particularly suited to gardeners who appreciate nuance—those little shifts in hue and form that make each bloom worth a second glance. Plant Narcissus 'Yazz' in a sunny or lightly shaded spot with well-drained soil, and it will reward you with clusters of gently fragrant flowers that lift the spirits from mid to late spring. Whether in borders, pots, or naturalistic settings, Narcissus 'Yazz' offers a fresh and graceful presence that plays well with others but still holds its own. It's a refined, feel-good flower with a bit of bounce—perfect for bringing a softer, more sophisticated note to your spring display.

Choose full sun or partial shade. Improve heavy soil with organic matter and horticultural grit. For containers, use peat-free multipurpose compost with good drainage.
Plant bulbs pointed side upwards, two to three times their own height deep and around 10cm apart. Smaller bulbs can be planted slightly closer together.
Water after planting if the soil is dry. Established bulbs in borders rarely need more, but water during dry spring weather and keep containers lightly moist.
Remove faded flowers, but leave the stems and foliage until they turn yellow and die back naturally. The bulbs can remain planted throughout the year.
