Plant daffodil bulbs from September to November. If needed, store them somewhere cool and dry, away from mice, but plant before they begin to deteriorate.

Narcissus
'Night Cap'
daffodil
While some narcissi are classic variations on a theme that features bright, warm yellows, some have the soft elegance to set them apart from their sisters. Narcissus 'Night Cap' will make you sit up and take notice! The central cup of each bloom seems to glow with soft cream, and it’s edged with a frill of coral. By contrast, the outer petals are pristine white, throwing the colours of the cup into relief.
Enjoy this low-maintenance garden beauty to the full by giving it a spot all to itself. Yes, Narcissus 'Night Cap' could compete with other flowers, but this artsy colour combination is best appreciated on its own.

Choose full sun or partial shade. Improve heavy soil with organic matter and horticultural grit. For containers, use peat-free multipurpose compost with good drainage.
Plant bulbs pointed side upwards, two to three times their own height deep and around 10cm apart. Smaller bulbs can be planted slightly closer together.
Water after planting if the soil is dry. Established bulbs in borders rarely need more, but water during dry spring weather and keep containers lightly moist.
Remove faded flowers, but leave the stems and foliage until they turn yellow and die back naturally. The bulbs can remain planted throughout the year.
