Plant daffodil bulbs from September to November. If needed, store them somewhere cool and dry, away from mice, but plant before they begin to deteriorate.
'Lieke'
daffodil
Narcissus 'Lieke' is the sort of daffodil that looks like it was designed with a watercolour brush and a touch of spring mischief. 'Lieke' is an elegant jonquilla variety that produces two or three sweetly scented blooms per stem, each one a delicate arrangement of broad, creamy-white petals surrounding a petite, pale yellow cup. At the centre, a dark green eye adds a little unexpected drama—like the wink of a flower that knows it's looking good.
Compact and multi-flowering, Narcissus 'Lieke' is perfect for adding fragrance and charm to borders, containers, or naturalised areas where it can shine in soft clusters. It thrives in well-drained soil and full sun or light shade, reliably returning each spring with minimal fuss. The blooms of Narcissus 'Lieke' may be refined, but the impact is delightful—especially when that gentle scent catches on the breeze. Whether you're planting a pastel palette or looking for something subtly special, Narcissus 'Lieke' offers just the right mix of poise and personality.

Choose full sun or partial shade. Improve heavy soil with organic matter and horticultural grit. For containers, use peat-free multipurpose compost with good drainage.
Plant bulbs pointed side upwards, two to three times their own height deep and around 10cm apart. Smaller bulbs can be planted slightly closer together.
Water after planting if the soil is dry. Established bulbs in borders rarely need more, but water during dry spring weather and keep containers lightly moist.
Remove faded flowers, but leave the stems and foliage until they turn yellow and die back naturally. The bulbs can remain planted throughout the year.
