Description
Narcissus 'Jumelée' is one of those wonderfully generous daffodils that seems determined to make the most of spring. Multi-flowered and free flowering, it produces clusters of elegant blooms, each with clean white petals surrounding a small greenish-yellow cup. The restrained colouring gives Narcissus 'Jumelée' a fresh, almost botanical quality, while its abundance of flowers ensures the overall effect is anything but shy. Then there is the fragrance: deliciously sweet and particularly noticeable when several bulbs are planted together. Narcissus 'Jumelée' is ideal for bringing a lighter touch to spring borders, where its crisp white flowers sit beautifully among emerging green foliage and provide an elegant counterpoint to more brightly coloured bulbs.
Plant Narcissus 'Jumelée' in informal groups through beds and borders, or gather it into patio pots where its perfume can be appreciated whenever you pass. Its white and greenish-yellow palette makes it exceptionally easy to combine, working beautifully with blue muscari, soft pink or purple tulips and other narcissus in shades of cream and yellow. The fragrant, multi-headed stems are also lovely for cutting, bringing several flowers indoors with every stem and making even a modest bunch feel pleasingly abundant. Narcissus 'Jumelée' has a natural elegance that suits both traditional and contemporary planting, particularly when repeated in generous drifts. Graceful, richly flowering and wonderfully scented, Narcissus 'Jumelée' proves that a relatively simple colour palette can still create quite a stir.
