Description
Narcissus 'Hawaiian Skies' is a daffodil with real presence, the sort that stops you mid-path and makes you look twice. Each white flower is beautifully composed, with a shallow, bowl-shaped corona in rich yellow, finished by a crisp, red band that ripples around the rim. Behind it, the broad, nicely overlapping white petals are gently illuminated by a warm yellow glow at the base, giving Narcissus 'Hawaiian Skies' an almost sunlit quality even on a grey spring morning. There is a freshness to the colouring that feels both refined and cheerful, making it especially effective in borders where pale tones need a little lift.
Elegant though it is, Narcissus 'Hawaiian Skies' is no shrinking violet. This is a variety with enough substance to hold its own in containers, spring displays and cutting gardens, where its generous flowers can be admired up close. Planted in drifts, Narcissus 'Hawaiian Skies' brings a polished look to the season, while smaller groupings let its unusual corona colouring take centre stage.
