Plant daffodil bulbs from September to November. If needed, store them somewhere cool and dry, away from mice, but plant before they begin to deteriorate.

Narcissus
'Growers Beauty'
daffodil
Narcissus 'Growers Beauty' is a daffodil of quiet opulence, its many-petalled blooms unfolding in rich golden-yellow tones that seem to glow from within. There is a softness to its layered form, yet it never feels heavy, instead offering a luminous, almost painterly quality in the early spring garden. Flowering at the start of the season, Narcissus 'Growers Beauty' brings an immediate sense of renewal, lifting borders, containers and grassy edges with its warm, light-catching presence. Each flower feels thoughtfully composed, as though arranged by hand, making Narcissus 'Growers Beauty' a natural choice for gardeners drawn to both structure and romance.
Planted in generous groups, Narcissus 'Growers Beauty' settles easily into its surroundings, returning year after year and gradually forming graceful, free-flowing drifts. It balances refinement with an unforced ease, allowing it to slip seamlessly into formal planting or more relaxed, naturalistic settings. Narcissus 'Growers Beauty' is equally delightful as a cut flower, its full blooms bringing warmth and texture to indoor arrangements just when it is most needed. Plant profile
Plant calendar
Choose full sun or partial shade. Improve heavy soil with organic matter and horticultural grit. For containers, use peat-free multipurpose compost with good drainage.
Plant bulbs pointed side upwards, two to three times their own height deep and around 10cm apart. Smaller bulbs can be planted slightly closer together.
Water after planting if the soil is dry. Established bulbs in borders rarely need more, but water during dry spring weather and keep containers lightly moist.
Remove faded flowers, but leave the stems and foliage until they turn yellow and die back naturally. The bulbs can remain planted throughout the year.
