This rare and unusual treasure has the most incredible flowers, sunny and yellow in colour with a hefty spritz of deep brown-ish red speckles in the centre. It’s fair to say, this lily is like no other and will certainly be a good point of conversation. What’s more, it has that classic lily fragrance to throw into the mix!
Despite its exotic looks, this flashy Lily 'Tasmania' is fairly hardy and will withstand a typical UK winter if planted in a sheltered spot, growing back for another dazzling display each year. Long-lasting and fabulous in the garden, they’re just as fantastic as a cut flower too and a perfect choice for vibrant, exotic bouquets.

Choose full sun or partial shade with rich, well-drained soil. For containers, use peat-free multipurpose or soil-based compost with added horticultural grit.
Plant bulbs pointed side upwards, 15–20cm deep and 15–20cm apart. Arrange them in groups of three to five for a generous, natural-looking display.
Water after planting, then keep the soil evenly moist once growth appears. Avoid waterlogging, particularly while the bulbs are dormant, and never let containers dry out completely.
Add stakes when planting taller varieties to avoid damaging the bulbs later. Remove faded flowers, but allow stems and foliage to yellow naturally before cutting them back.
