The lower petals (falls) are a captivating cinnamon with a subtle hint of purple and a spritz of gold for a rich exotic feel. The upper petals (standards) echo the mauve falls with their creamy lilac tones. The flowers of this luxurious Siberian iris are a full, dreamy colour combination in themselves, but also team amazingly well with purple, pink, orange, red, blue and yellow varieties.

Reaching a height of 75cm, this is perfect for a mid-border position. Easy to grow Iris sibirica 'Paprikash' should be planted in spring and will naturalise happily is the right conditions.

Useful information
-
Soak the Iris 'Paprikash' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting
Plant your "Siberian iris" bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost in spring and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed. Some varieties are a length of root which should be planted lengthways and shallowly (1-2cm deep).
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
