After years of careful breeding, this generous variety brings its first vivid pink blooms as early as April, continuing the display into June with impressive enthusiasm. Each plant becomes richly covered in bright, lively flowers, giving Hydrangea 'First Love Pink' a fresh and joyful presence when many summer shrubs are still gathering their thoughts. In acidic soil, the pink blooms may shift towards a striking blue, adding a little horticultural magic to the performance. Colourful, bushy and naturally graceful, Hydrangea 'First Love Pink' earns its affectionate name rather easily.
Plant Hydrangea 'First Love Pink' in moist, well-drained soil, in partial shade to full sun, where it can form a rounded shrub of around 150cm high and wide. Its bright flowers look wonderful with ferns, hostas, soft grasses, spring bulbs and fresh green foliage, bringing structure and colour to borders, larger containers or informal garden schemes.
