Description
Eye candy for the garden couldn’t get much sweeter than Hydrangea 'Candybelle Marshmallow'. This hyadrangea is pure ambrosia for the planting scheme, introducing some sweet flower power with its soft marshmallow-coloured, petal packed flowerheads. A new, compact variety of mophead hortensia, it makes a bushy, rounded shrub growing to around 1m tall and is a superb choice for smaller gardens or for growing in containers. The huge, mophead flowers of Hydrangea 'Candybelle Marshmallow ever-so slightly pink tinged, creating cloud like interest that really do a great job in illuminating dull or partially shaded areas over summer. Healthy, dark green foliage compliments the pretty blooms, which are held atop extra sturdy stems.
Hydrangea arborescens 'Candybelle Marshmallow' is hugely versatile thanks to its smaller stature. It looks lovely in a container: two identical pots framing an entrance or doorway will look heavenly. It adds a leafy lushness to border plantings too, looking at home in cottage gardens as well as modern schemes, and it loves a slightly shaded woodland theme. Hydrangea flowers are also very popular with florists because they are beautiful in both fresh and everlasting dried flower arrangements.

Useful information
-
Soak your Hydrangea 'Candybelle Marshmallow' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting.
Plant your "Hortensia" bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost in spring and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors.
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed.
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
