'Baiful'
Hydrangea 'Baiful' is a new white snowball hydrangea with a name that sets expectations rather high, then rather cheerfully meets them. This easy-care Hydrangea arborescens produces large, richly filled flower clusters in remarkable abundance, covering the shrub from summer into autumn. In fact, Hydrangea 'Baiful' can produce two to three times as many flowers as many other hydrangeas, creating a long-lasting spectacle in borders, pots, hedges and planted displays. Fresh green foliage stays healthy through the season, while strong shoots hold the flowers upright, even when wind and rain attempt to be difficult. Floriferous, robust and bright, Hydrangea 'Baiful' is certainly not shy.
Plant Hydrangea 'Baiful' in nutritious, moisture-retentive soil, in sun, partial shade or shade, where its generous blooms can lift even the darker corners of the garden. With a rounded habit of around 90 to 120cm high and wide, it is large enough to make an impression but compact enough for smaller spaces. The white flowerheads pair beautifully with ferns, hostas, grasses, blue perennials and deep green shrubs, bringing a clean, luminous quality to planting schemes. Long-flowering, sturdy and wonderfully showy without being fussy, Hydrangea arborescens 'Baiful' (First Editions® FlowerWOW) is a superb choice for gardeners who enjoy maximum effect with minimal drama.

Check each plant’s specifications. Hardy perennials can remain outdoors, while half-hardy and tender varieties should be kept frost-free until the risk of frost has passed.
Plant within a month, preferably sooner. Choose a suitable position, remove weeds and loosen the soil thoroughly, adding compost or well-rotted organic matter where needed.
Gently remove the plant from its pot and plant with the root ball level with the soil surface. Firm gently, water well and add a plant label.
Water regularly until established and whenever the soil feels dry during spring and summer. Feed container-grown plants fortnightly during active growth to encourage healthy flowering.
