Shades of pink, cool blues and glistening white—we know that asking you to choose only one colour is a tall order. So to make your life easy, we’ve put together a Hyacinth mix including the best classic colours plus a few surprises.
Take pot luck and plant them with abandon, you’ll only know which is which once the flowers begin to open. It’s a bit like getting a surprise package. You’ll be watching the buds excitedly to see just which of the gorgeous colours will appear next!
We always use the best quality hyacinth bulbs for this collection which means that the varieties we choose to create this look may differ from year to year. The hyacinth varieties used in this collection may not be the same as the varieties pictured, and there will be a slight variation in colours.

Choose full sun or partial shade. Improve heavy soil with organic matter and horticultural grit. For containers, use peat-free multipurpose compost with good drainage.
Wearing gloves, plant bulbs pointed side upwards, 10–15cm deep and around 10cm apart. Their naturally purplish outer skin is perfectly normal.
Water after planting if the soil is dry. Border-grown hyacinths rarely need further watering during winter, but keep containers lightly moist and never waterlogged.
Remove faded flowers, but allow the foliage to yellow and die back naturally. The bulbs can remain planted, although flowering may become less dense over time.
