Description
Allow Geranium 'Crystal Lake' to gradually sprawl to fill bare spaces in borders, working as an effective and beautiful ground cover with its lush green leaves and dainty, nectar-rich blooms. This hardy geranium will light up almost any dull spot in the garden with its almost-luminous flowers, held above attractive green foliage on reddish stems. It spreads gradually and gently and is fairly compact in height, bearing a profusion of pure and striking blooms through the summer: a pale alpine blue, white towards the eye, from where lines of dark purple veins radiate outwards. Geranium 'Crystal Lake' is an easy plant for illuminating areas that need a lift, shining out attractively even as the light fades in the evenings. After the long flowering season, its lightly marbled leaves create a lush ground cover until winter sets in.
Geranium wallichianum 'Crystal Lake' is a an easy-going perennial, happy in most garden soils and flowering well in sunny spots or in partial shade. The lobed foliage creates attractive mounds, eventually stretching to fill a space to around 60cm across. It’s easy to slot into gaps in borders, along pathways or jostling among the legs of roses and other shrubs. Geraniums like 'Crystal Lake' are a great option for those looking for a low-maintenance plant that is fuss-free and has good resistance to pests and diseases. They add easy-to-achieve floral charm to most situations, and have the added bonus of attracting pollinators to the garden.

Useful information
-
Soak the Geranium 'Crystal Lake' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting
Plant your bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost within a week of delivery and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed. Some varieties are a length of root which should be planted lengthways and shallowly (1-2cm deep).
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
