Galanthus elwesii

giant snowdrops

Snowdops are among the delights of spring, but when Galanthus elwesii begins to bloom, you should be ready for a surprise. Not for her the shy little blooms of her sisters! Also known as the 'Giant Snowdrop', Galanthus elwesii offers you a bouquet of big, pendulous blooms, and like you, she’s eager to herald the spring, even willingly popping her head above the snow to declare its arrival. Plant swathes of giant snowdrops beneath deciduous trees to perfectly mimic their natural habitat. If you’re still finding the outdoors a bit chilly, cut Galanthus elwesii's blooms to bring indoors and enjoy their long vase life!
