Description
Eucomis comosa is a bulbous perennial that makes long flower clusters with a pineapple-like rosette at the top. It has arching, strap-shaped, green leaves and, from August onwards, upright pale green stems carry dense clusters of flowers in cream and various shades of pink. The blooms are scented too, and they may even be cut and stood in a vase of water indoors, where they last for weeks. These XXL bulbs are 30/+cm in size and are a surefire route to some real flower-power in summer!
