Description
If you are looking for something really different for your garden or to plant in a container on your patio, you can be sure choosing this South African Eucomis autumnalis will be the right thing to do. This plant produces columns studded with copious tiny white or yellow waxy flowers on thick stems which themselves rise out of a bed of large green leaves. The finishing touch is a topknot of small leaves on the top of each of the flower pillars.
This spiky crown of Eucomis autumnalis has earned the plant the nickname of Pineapple Flower or Pineapple Lily. Eucomis autumnalis will, as its name suggest, flower in autumn.
