Description
Bring the shaded areas of your garden to life with this special little Epimedium 'White Hart'. Forming a wonderfully neat and lush ground cover of small heart-shaped leaves which are accented with an earthy maroon edge, for most of the year the foliage alone is a fabulous feature for shade. But then watch it in spring as it leaps into action with a profusion of dainty white blooms that look like a herd of white deer bounding through a miniature green landscape!
Part of the pleasure of Epimedium 'White Hart' is the fact that the flowers remain prominently above the young foliage where they can be seen and enjoyed. The pure white flowers are a highlight for the more dimly-lit areas of the garden, emerging in spring and hanging on through to midsummer, then repeating every year. Over the years this hardy perennial spreads to form a dense ground cover which not only looks lovely but also suppresses weeds. Plant them in an area with cool, moist soil and enjoy their easy going, low-maintenance nature.

Useful information
-
Soak your Epimedium 'White Hart' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting.
Plant your "Bishop's hat" bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost in spring and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors.
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed.
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
