Description
Powder-puff pastels bring a sweet vibe to summer schemes. Pairing minty green with frosty peach-pink, Echinacea 'Cherry Fluff' brings a sugary colourway which is ideal for soft colour combinations, and is also perfectly versatile enough to sit comfortably within a real mixed bag of colour cottage planting scheme. This wonderfully double-flowered Echinacea could easily be mistaken for a chrysanthemum with its vintage charm and petal-packed blooms! The pale cream petals have a cheeky cherry blush that develops and becomes more prominent as the flower ages.
Echinacea 'Cherry Fluff' will thrive in full sun and within most well-drained soils. Echinacea loves to be in a sunny border, planted in groups so that the flowers really stand out. Its perennial nature means that it will return each year, eventually forming a clump which produces more stems each year. This extraordinary coneflower is also great for cutting with a cut and come again nature when established. Flowering from mid to late summer, this dwarf variety works well towards the front of the border or in large patio containers.
Echinacea 'Cherry Fluff' is an eye-catching perennial with a whole lot of flair! This beauty is sure to make heads turn with its delectable double blossoms, beginning as a lime green hue before quickly transforming into a soft pink pompom with narrow, toothed cream-white petals gracing its edges. From mid-summer until autumn, you can enjoy the beauty of Echinacea 'Cherry Fluff' in a vase or in your garden, as it is perfect for cutting or just for show. Not only is it an absolute delight to look at but is sure to be a hit with the pollinators!
Plant Echinacea 'Cherry Fluff' in a spot in sun where it can easily be seen. Note that it is around 45cm tall and will bush out as it gradually forms a wider clump over the years. It’s a gem in a mixed border with other summer flowering perennials and easily combines with most colours. You can create a really bright display, or go for a more muted, hazy look by planting these coneflowers with ornamental grasses.
