Brighten your borders and also attract pollinators with this bee-friendly beauty, Dahlia 'Honka Rose'. The open centre is a great source of nectar for pollinators—bees and hoverflies just love landing on this type of dahlia to refuel. Besides this nature friendly aspect, the blooms are a complete marvel to enjoy in the garden. Vibrant pink narrow petals with an intriguing curl radiate from the centre like windmills, providing an overall starry profusion from summer right through to the first frosts in autumn!

As with most dahlias, Dahlia 'Honka Rose' (syn Dahlia 'Honka Pink') is easy to grow and also makes a brilliant cut flower. The stems are a good length and the flowers last for ages in a vase. Be it in the garden or in an arrangement, try combining this one with Dahlia 'Honka Black' and flaunt your flurry of pink and black starry windmill flowers!

Gracy's gardening tip:
"Remember – it’s easy to save your dahlia tubers for replanting next year, and the year after, and the year after that."
